In 1993 Senator Tom Harkin proposed the US ban imports of all items made with child labor. The result was?

That bans were lifted from many countries importing into the U.S. The bill didn't pass and there never has been any kind of policing of imports anyway. Result = with the low cost of labor, no benefits, no interference by the U.S. government, no OSHA, no EPA standards, no threat of unions, and no threat of lawsuits by individuals working at the company or shareholders or consumers, of course companies are going to ship their jobs overseas. Think about it......if you owned a big company, wouldn't you do the same?
