Thoughts on the first president Bush? Was He a good president?

He had a slogan " a kinder, gentler nation" which is the best statement ever made by a president. He did what he could but unfortunately we have become a meaner, rougher nation. We used to be the shining city on a hill that genuinely cared about the citizens but the rich are only interested in protecting their bank accounts and the poor already know it is not a kinder, gentler nation. We need to get back to that philosophy and away from the evil that has sprung up since Bush Sr. left office.
