Car insurance HELPPPPPPPPPPP?

Hello, my dad has bought a 1995 1.3 toyota corolla. He is insured on it with his own policy. The car is in his name. His vehicle registration plate is registered on the Motor Insurance Database (which links the police vehicles) . I am getting my own MONTH pay as you go policy for it for �130 for the month. It will be fully comprehensive. The insurance broker will send me the insurance certificate through the post to confirm i am insured for the month. How can i check online that i am actually insured when my dad is already insured on it. I am 17 years of age and passed 2 months ago.
